Career

Ioana is a Senior Associate at BMA Legal – Bogoiu, Matei & Associates, advising clients in civil and commercial litigation, as well as in administrative, labour and fiscal disputes. Her practice focuses primarily on dispute resolution, representing clients in complex litigation before the Romanian courts and public authorities. She assists clients at all stages of contentious proceedings, from the assessment of legal risks and the development of procedural strategies to representation before the courts and the enforcement of judgments. She has been involved in a wide range of disputes, including contractual conflicts, debt recovery proceedings, labour disputes, administrative and tax litigation, payment order proceedings and complex litigation involving substantial financial claims, as well as family-related matters with cross-border elements. In addition to her litigation work, Ioana advises clients on civil and commercial matters, including the drafting, review and negotiation of contractual documentation, and has contributed to projects involving high-value commercial agreements and transactions with international elements, as well as legal structuring and compliance matters. She has also gained experience in succession planning and the intergenerational transfer of family businesses, participating in projects involving asset structuring and legal mechanisms designed to protect and manage family wealth. She has been a registered lawyer with the Bucharest Bar since 2022 and a fully qualified lawyer since 2024.
