Career
Samantha Moore is a Partner at Ramsay & Partners, where she heads the firm’s data protection and cybersecurity practice. She was called to the Jamaican Bar in December 2012 and began her legal career at one of the Caribbean’s largest law firms, where she spent eight years handling a wide range of commercial and real estate transactions for local and international clients. In December 2020, she joined Ramsay & Partners as a Partner.
At Ramsay & Partners, Samantha’s core practice encompasses data protection and privacy rights, cybersecurity, electronic transactions, banking and financial regulatory advice, securities, real estate and conveyancing, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, public procurement, work permit and immigration law, product registration and consumer protection, charities law, distributorship agreements, and hospitality transactions. She is recognised for her work in data protection law and compliance, advising regulated entities and multinational corporates on legal obligations under Jamaica’s Data Protection Act and best practices for data governance and security.
Her cross-disciplinary practice also includes advising on complex commercial arrangements, cross-border matters, and regulatory compliance across multiple industry sectors.
Beyond client work, Samantha contributes to professional development and thought leadership in her areas of focus and maintains strong engagement with legal and regulatory developments in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.
