Sony, who has been with Badranaya Partnership since 2022, is a partner whose practice focuses on capital markets, real estate, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), foreign direct investment (FDI), and banking and finance. Over the years, he has gained extensive industry-specific knowledge and expertise in a number of key sectors of the financial industry, including landmark bank acquisition and merger deals, financial technology services, and regulatory and compliance matters with the Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK). Sony is also certified as a Financial Sector Legal Consultant by the Association of Financial Sector Legal Consultants (HKHSK) and as a Receiver and Bankruptcy Administrator by the Indonesian Receivers and Administrators Association (AKPI).

Sony graduated from the Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University. Prior to joining Badranaya Partnership, Sony was the Head of Legal and Compliance at PT UOB Kay Hian Sekuritas, one of Asia's largest brokerage firms backed by UOB Kay Hian Holdings Limited, a global investment bank based in Singapore.

Sony heads Badranaya's capital markets practice, focusing on onshore and offshore debt and equity offerings and other cross-border financial transactions.
