Career
Jatin is a founding Partner at Clavius Legal, where he commands a broad-based practice spanning complex dispute resolution, commercial advisory, regulatory strategy, and cross-border arbitration. His work sits at the intersection of law, business strategy, and risk governance, with a strong focus on delivering solutions that are commercially viable, legally robust, and future-ready.
He represents and advises clients across a wide spectrum of sectors, including construction & engineering, infrastructure, oil & gas, real estate, pharmaceuticals & life sciences, maritime, sports & gaming, and insurance. His practice covers the full lifecycle of commercial disputes—ranging from early-stage risk assessment and negotiation strategy to high-stakes litigation and multi-jurisdictional arbitration under leading ad hoc and institutional frameworks (including SIAC, LCIA, DIAC, and others)
Jatin frequently appears before High Courts, Civil Courts, and Tribunals across India and is known for his ability to translate complex factual matrices into clear, cohesive, and results-oriented legal positions. His approach combines meticulous preparation, innovative legal reasoning, and an agile, solution-centric mindset—attributes consistently acknowledged by clients and peers alike.
A significant part of his work involves strategic advisory for multinational corporations, Indian conglomerates, sovereign authorities, and industry-leading organisations. He routinely advises on contract structuring, regulatory compliance, risk minimisation, and high-value commercial negotiations, ensuring that clients’ long-term business objectives are fully aligned with legal strategy.
In the sports law ecosystem, Jatin has advised prominent cricket associations—including DDCA, Hyderabad Cricket Association, Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh, and Rajasthan Cricket Association—in addition to major fantasy-sports platforms such as DREAM11 and MPL. His counsel spans governance, dispute management, regulatory compliance, and the operational intricacies of professional sports frameworks.
Jatin also serves as Special Counsel to a High-Powered Committee constituted by the Supreme Court of India, where he advises on interstate welfare, regulatory oversight, and legal governance relating to captive elephants—a domain involving the confluence of wildlife law, public policy, and judicial oversight.
He has additionally managed a diverse portfolio of domestic and international arbitrations, advising on trial strategy, jurisdictional objections, complex evidence issues, and cross-border procedural requirements. His experience extends to assisting with expert opinions placed before foreign courts and international tribunals, including U.S. Federal Courts, the Courts of England & Wales, the Permanent Court of Arbitration, and INTERPOL, reflecting his nuanced understanding of comparative legal systems.
Consistently recognised by leading global legal directories, Jatin’s work has earned him distinctions such as India Lawyer of the Year (Asialaw Awards 2023), Future Star in International Arbitration (Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific 2024–2025), and repeated recommendations in The Legal 500 Asia-Pacific. Clients and peers describe him as strategic, incisive, and deeply committed to delivering excellence—attributes that define his practice and the outcomes he secures.
