Frederik is specialising in data protection law with a particular focus on sector-specific regulations regarding the processing of personal data, AI, and technology.

Frederik has extensive experience advising on the complex interplay between the GDPR, the Danish Data Protection Act, and sector-specific regulations on personal data processing within the financial, pharma, and life sciences sectors.

This expertise comes from advising several banks and insurance companies on data protection issues, including matters related to cloud services and outsourcing, confidentiality obligations, AI development and operation, portfolio transfers, insurance fraud, anti-money laundering obligations, and debt collection.

Within the pharma and life sciences sector, Frederik has significant experience advising on data protection issues related to clinical trials, research, informed consent, cooperation agreements between sponsors and investigators, and the buying and selling of data.

In recent years, Frederik has also assisted several clients in criminal cases related to data protection matters.
