Career
Yelda is senior counsel at Igniters Tech Law, where she focuses on intellectual property and data privacy two of the most business-critical legal disciplines for any technology company operating in today's environment. After graduating from law school, Yelda joined a firm specializing in intellectual property, where she progressed from intern to associate to managing associate, building a practice grounded in the real-world mechanics of how companies create, protect, and enforce their most valuable intangible assets. Over time, she expanded her expertise to encompass the full spectrum of IP work, trademark prosecution and enforcement, copyright, licensing, and portfolio strategy and demonstrated her command of the field by passing the examination administered by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, qualifying as a certified trademark attorney. Before joining Igniters, Yelda also served as an in-house legal advisor for several companies, an experience that gave her first-hand insight into how legal risk is managed at the operational level
At Igniters, Yelda brings that combined perspective to bear on the needs of technology companies, startups, and innovative businesses navigating an increasingly complex IP and regulatory landscape. On the privacy side, she advises clients on data protection compliance, helping them build privacy frameworks and documentation that meet the demands of Turkish law and align with international standards including GDPR and KVKK in an era where data is both a core asset and a significant source of legal exposure. On the IP side, she counsels clients on trademark registration and protection strategies across jurisdictions, licensing arrangements, and the day-to-day IP questions that arise as companies grow, launch new products, and expand into new markets. Her ability to work fluidly across both disciplines makes her a particularly valuable resource for tech companies, where IP and privacy concerns frequently intersect.

She is also a one-star certified scuba diver, always open to the next new experience.
