Driving tax-efficient strategies and practical solutions for your business success. Aaron Kriss is the Managing Partner of Gesmer Updegrove. Before becoming Managing Partner, Aaron was the head of the Corporate Department and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

Daily, Aaron leads the firm while providing strategic tax counsel on transactions at the corporate and founder levels. With extensive expertise in mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, financings, and international deals, Aaron ensures tax efficiency aligns seamlessly with client business objectives. Aaron also works extensively with private companies and founders on issues surrounding incentive equity grants and compensation. His pragmatic approach emphasizes practical solutions tailored to his clients’ specific needs. Prior to joining Gesmer Updegrove, Aaron worked at Day Pitney LLP and Withers Bergman LLP.

Today, Aaron resides in Connecticut with his wife and three children. He works primarily out of Gesmer Updegrove’s Boston office while also serving clients throughout Southern New England and the New York area.
