Trainee Lawyer – Commercial Division

Ghayda is a Trainee Lawyer in the Corporate Commercial Division at Al Khair Legal Attorneys, where she supports the team across a wide range of corporate and commercial matters. With an LLB from the University of Jordan and an educational background at King’s Academy, Jordan, she combines a deep understanding of Jordanian law with exposure to international legal frameworks. Her diverse educational journey has equipped her with the analytical skills and global perspective essential for navigating today’s complex legal landscape. Ghayda’s work includes assisting in legal research, contract drafting, legal translation, and supporting advisory mandates across various practice areas.

She combines practical experience in litigation and commercial practice, including drafting and reviewing franchise, cooperation, services, and employment agreements, as well as privacy policies and terms of use. Working closely with experienced colleagues, she assists in complex commercial transactions, contract drafting, and litigation matters. Fluent in both English and Arabic, Ghayda collaborates effectively with clients and stakeholders from diverse cultural and legal backgrounds. Her strong attention to detail and rigorous research approach allows her to help ensure clients receive clear and effective legal guidance.

Through her internships at distinguished law firms, she developed her legal skills with hands-on experience. Her work included presenting original legal analysis on an unresolved judicial issue, playing a pivotal role in resolving a high-stakes construction lawsuit. As a member of the JU School of Law Legal Clinic, she participated in specialized workshops on client counseling and case strategy, working closely with attorneys to draft legal documents. Additionally, as part of the JU School of Law Translation Team, she contributed to comparative law workshops with students from around the globe, allowing her to gain a broader international perspective and deepen her understanding of diverse legal systems.

Beyond the academic environment, Ghayda was involved in youth-led panels on socio-political issues, collaborating in cross-disciplinary projects and authoring a research paper titled “Facing Forward, Walking Backward” that explores the relationship between law and social change, analyzing why the law often struggles to serve as an effective driver of transformation and how it can be reimagined to do so. Her LLB thesis, “Judicial Interpretation in Light of the Philosophy of Law,” explored theories of statutory interpretation and compared Anglo-Saxon, Jordanian, and Islamic approaches. This interdisciplinary background allows her to approach cases with a broader analytical lens and anticipate alternate interpretations, allowing her to develop creative solutions to legal challenges.
