Senior Counsel

Carsten Zatschler is the firm's external expert counsel with decades of experience in EU litigation, regularly engaged in cases before the EU courts.

He is a Senior Counsel at the Bar of Ireland, and is also admitted to the Bars of Brussels (E-List) and St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Previously, he served as Director of Legal and Executive Affairs at the EFTA Surveillance Authority and spent a decade at the Court of Justice of the EU as a référendaire with three successive British Judges of the Court.

He is also a former Member of the Supervisory Committee of the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF).

Carsten has a number of prominent academic engagements and is Adjunct Full Professor at the Sutherland School of Law, University College Dublin.
