Merel Zwankhuizen is Dutch civil law notary and corporate lawyer, boasting a 20-year track record in Corporate M&A and related notarial law. Merel’s expertise encompasses various facets of Dutch corporate law, including high-end corporate M&A, private equity and venture capital, complex (cross-border) restructurings and reorganisations, management and employee participations and corporate governance.

Merel Zwankhuizen earned nominations for ‘Civil Law Notary of the Year’ in 2020 and ‘Best M&A Lawyer Mid Market’ in 2024 and 2025. Beyond her corporate practice, Merel also serves as a Disciplinary Court Member and as a lecturer specialising in Dutch corporate and business law
