Senior Associate

Ongun Özel, is a corporate lawyer who specializes in mergers and acquisitions and contract law. He has represented local and international clients in mergers and acquisitions, including intra-group mergers and investments made by venture capital in various industries. He has also provided legal advice in corporate law and corporate governance to local and international clients. Prior to joining Pelister Keki Sarac & Co, he worked in commercial arbitration at one of the most well-known law firms in international arbitration. He has participated in arbitration hearings and cross-examinations and while continuing his undergraduate education received the first prize in the Future Arbitration Counsel Competition organized by ISTAC, Turkey’s largest arbitration institution. Ongun completed his high school education at TED Ankara College’s Academic Science Program, his undergraduate education at Bilkent University Law School, and his Erasmus+ program at Coventry University Law School. Ongun is a member of Ankara Bar Association and fluent in English.
