Construction and public procurement
Position
Christina has been a lawyer since 2007 and specialises in construction and procurement law. She advises on complex projects involving procurement law issues, ranging from quasi in-house structures and public–private partnerships (PPPs) to open house models and material contract changes.
Christina is also regularly consulted on the implications of the Didam judgment and assists public authorities in designing and conducting sale procedures. Her experience includes various high-profile projects, such as the sale of the former Pieter Baan Centre and the redevelopment of the Codrico factory site in Rotterdam.
Christina’s practice includes a strong focus on relevant contemporary legal issues, including the application of the Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR) and matters relating to national security. She is involved in the development of the General Security Requirements for Central Government Contracts (ABRO). Christina also plays an active role in the energy transition, including the procurement and contracting of heat concessions.
Where necessary, Christina represents clients in legal proceedings, but her preference is to prevent disputes by providing clear and workable solutions at an early stage. Clients value her no-nonsense approach and practical outlook. With a background in mechanical engineering, Christina brings a technical perspective that helps turn complex projects into feasible solutions.
