Career
Manuel Bordas is the Managing and Founding Partner of the firm and a recognised leader in litigation and business advisory in the Dominican Republic. In the litigation sphere, he is particularly noted for advising and representing clients in high-profile administrative matters related to corruption investigations, contributing to landmark proceedings in the country’s legal landscape.
In the corporate arena, Manuel advises major corporations across three key sectors of the national economy. In the financial sector, he works closely with the leading company in credit and debit card payment processing in the Dominican Republic. In the media and digital communications sector, he counsels a media group comprising some of the most influential platforms in Latin America. Additionally, in the construction sector, he provides strategic advisory services to prominent construction companies, ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to quality standards in large-scale projects.

Manuel is an active member of prominent international professional associations, including the Inter-American Bar Association, where he was elected to the Council at its 60th Annual Conference, becoming the youngest councillor of the institution. He is also a member of the World Compliance Association, the Dominican Bar Association of New York, and the World Association of Constitutional Law, among others, contributing actively to the advancement of international legal practice.
Education
Manuel graduated with honours from APEC University with a Bachelor of Laws degree. His postgraduate education includes a specialisation in Constitutional Justice from the University of Castilla-La Mancha, master’s degrees in Constitutional Law and Constitutional Procedure, as well as Civil Law and Civil Procedure from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), and a specialisation in Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law from the Higher Institute for Defence (INSUDE).
He has further expanded his academic and professional training through specialised courses, international conferences, and seminars at institutions including the University of Pisa, the Complutense University of Madrid, and the University of Salamanca.
