Zeng Tao is a lawyer who graduated from the Intellectual Property College of East China University of Political Science and Law. He holds a Doctor of Law degree and is a senior lawyer of level two. He has also been a visiting scholar at the College of William and Mary in the United States. He is the managing partner of Shanghai Han Sheng Law Firm and the director of the Intellectual Property Professional Committee. Lawyer Zeng has been engaged in foreign-related intellectual property legal services for over fifteen years. He has led his team to handle hundreds of major domestic and international intellectual property civil, criminal and administrative litigation cases. He is particularly skilled in handling cross-border complex intellectual property criminal cases and resolving major and complex disputes in the field of intellectual property. He is good at providing IP rights holders with solutions from intellectual property evidence investigation to the design of rights protection plans, covering multiple dimensions of civil, criminal and administrative cases. Most of the clients he serves are Fortune 500 companies and well-known domestic listed companies. Many of the cases he led were heard in the Supreme People's Court as major and difficult cases. His cases have been selected as the top ten intellectual property cases of various high courts and the top ten cases of the Quality Brand Protection Committee of the China Foreign Investment Enterprise Committee each year. Especially, the technical secret cases he represented on behalf of international intellectual property rights holders were reported by the authoritative media, People's Daily, and helped intellectual property rights holders recover over 100 million yuan in economic losses. Zeng is also particularly skilled in the cross-protection of intellectual property in criminal and civil fields. As a member of the research team of "Intellectual Property Criminal-Minor Civil Connection Legislative Mechanism and Practical Research" of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, he has rich theoretical and practical research achievements in the cross-field of criminal and civil intersection. He can provide reliable solutions to theoretical and practical difficulties in the criminal and civil intersection field and has been recognized by intellectual property rights holders at home and abroad. Zeng has also been listed in many well-known international legal rating agencies such as Chambers, ALB, Legal One, Law New Agency, IPR Daily, etc. and has been rated as a recommended lawyer in the intellectual property litigation field of Chambers in 2026, an 15th-strong lawyer in the intellectual property field in ALB 2024, a 15th-strong lawyer in the client-Trust field in Legal One 2024， a top 50 intellectual property elite lawyer in IPR Daily Asia， and a "Craftsmanship Lawyer in the Intellectual Property Field" in the 2023 Intellectual Property Field of Law New Agency.
