Career
ndira Paris is a Venezuelan lawyer with an extensive professional career in the legal field. She obtained her law degree from Central University of Venezuela in 1990 and specialised in economic and integration international law at the same university in 1998. She has also pursued a series of master's degrees, specialisations, doctorates, postdoctoral studies, and diplomas in various fields of law, such as Constitutional Law, International Criminal Law, Human Rights, and Public International Law.
In terms of her work experience, she has worked in different government institutions, including the Ministry of Development, the National Institute of Vocational Training (INCE), and the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic. She has also served in the Judicial Council and the Supreme Court of Justice, holding various positions such as temporary judge and titular judge of the Ninth Municipal Court of the Judicial District of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas, Second Municipal Judge of Execution Measures, Provisional Judge of the First Civil, Commercial, Traffic, and Banking Superior Court of the Judicial District of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas, and Coordinator Judge of the Municipal Courts of the Judicial District of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas. In addition, she was a Substitute Judge in the Circuit of First Instance in Civil, Commercial, Traffic, and Banking matters in the same Judicial District. Finally, she retired in 2021 as the First Superior Judge in Civil, Commercial, Traffic, and Banking matters of the Judicial District of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas.
