Mafalda Carmona is a Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and a seasoned practitioner with over 20 years of experience in Public Law. Throughout her professional career, including her time at firms such as Sérvulo & Associados and Cuatrecasas, she has been involved in high-profile mandates ranging from the renegotiation of complex PPPs to bank resolution litigation.

Her practice focuses on public contracts (works and concessions), public procurement, and regulation within the energy and telecommunications sectors.

Mafalda Carmona also serves as an arbitrator in legal-administrative disputes, maintaining an active practice in this field.
