Ahmad Rashed is a Partner at Afifi Law Firm in the Commercial & Corporate Litigation and Competition & Merger Control practices, representing multinational and regional clients in complex cross-border disputes, regulatory investigations, and high-value transactions.

With more than 17 years of experience, Ahmad advises clients across the pharmaceutical, banking, TMT, energy, aviation, and construction sectors, handling complex commercial, corporate, and employment disputes.

Throughout his practice, he has acted as lead counsel in litigation portfolios exceeding USD 500 million and heads the firm’s competition team, having managed over 35 merger-control filings and competition-law investigations before the Egyptian Competition Authority, in coordination with Dentons’ offices in the UK, EU, and GCC.

Ahmad also has extensive experience in the aviation sector, working closely with the firm’s aviation team to advise international airlines, aircraft lessors, and financial institutions on over 30 aircraft leasing, novation, and sale transactions, as well as on related regulatory and enforcement matters before the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority.

He is recognized for combining strategic litigation insight with a deep understanding of regulatory and transactional frameworks, enabling clients to navigate complex cross-border, competition, and aviation-sector challenges efficiently and strategically.
