Hossam is a Partner at Afifi Law Firm and leads its Aviation Practice. With over 25 years of distinguished legal experience, he is recognized as one of Egypt’s leading aviation law practitioners, providing comprehensive counsel on aircraft registration, deregistration, leasing, financing, and regulatory compliance.

His expertise spans a full spectrum of aviation contracts, including operating and financial leases, aircraft mortgages, loans, and other aviation agreements. Over his career, he has successfully registered more than 150 aircraft and deregistered over 130, demonstrating unmatched knowledge of Egypt’s aviation regulatory framework.

In addition to aviation, Hossam advises clients on labor and employment law, ensuring compliance with Egyptian regulations, drafting and reviewing employment contracts, and managing workforce disputes. He also provides guidance on social insurance law, assisting companies with regulatory compliance, mergers, acquisitions, and company closures.

Hossam is also an active member of Egypt’s Dispute Resolution Sub-Group for the Aviation Working Group (AWG), contributing to aligning Egypt’s domestic procedural laws with the Cape Town Convention (CTC) and the Aircraft Protocol (AP), reinforcing his leading role in shaping Egypt’s aviation legal landscape.
