Arega Fentahun Mekonen leads the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department at DABLO Law Firm, bringing more than a decade of high-level legal experience to the firm. As an advocate and strategic advisor, he provides results-driven representation to corporate and institutional clients navigating complex legal environments. His primary practice areas include civil and commercial litigation, alternative dispute resolution, real estate and property law, and regulatory compliance.

His professional background spans pivotal roles in both the public and private sectors. Arega served as a Public Prosecutor, where he enforced statutory legal standards and directed critical investigations. He further expanded his regulatory expertise as a Legal Expert for the Ethiopian Customs Commission, managing import and export compliance, and as a Legal Advisor for the FDRE Trade Competition and Consumer Protection Authority, where he addressed anti-competitive conduct. In the private sector, he has worked with prominent real estate firms on property transactions, disputes, and risk management.

Arega has secured significant professional accomplishments, including recognition as a recommended lawyer by The Legal 500. He has protected cross-border trade legalities, advanced fair-trade standards before federal authorities, and resolved complex property matters to protect developer assets. Arega holds an LL.B. from Bahir Dar University School of Law, is a licensed advocate admitted to the Ethiopian Federal Bar Association, and is pursuing an LL.M. in International Law at Ethiopian Civil Service University.
