Senior Associate

Sukontharat is a senior associate and key member of the firm’s corporate/M&A, real estate, FDI, and data privacy & personal data protection practice groups. She is accustomed to managing large, high-spec client accounts to hit specific targets and budgets and to maintaining and strengthening the firm’s long-term legal and business partnerships. She has deep insight and wide-ranging experience of local business markets—and the region’s increasingly digital landscape—and is a respected advisor on regulatory licensing requirements for foreign business operations in Thailand and on compliance with the Thai Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). She co-authors articles for publication with the firm's partners and mentors and oversees the work of younger team members. She is central in the smooth running of the firm's daily legal operations and key to its ability to provide a consistently high level of output in its corporate/M&A service offerings.

Sukontharat is a Legal 500 "Recommended Lawyer." Earlier in her career, she was a legal manager for eight years at one of the world’s biggest legal and tax advisory firms and counsel to multinational corporations regarding commercial contracts, M&A projects, corporate structuring, and FDI. Immediately prior to joining IAS Advisory, she was a senior associate at another top-ranked international law firm in Bangkok.

Sukontharat has an LL.B. from Thailand’s Chulalongkorn University and studied at Hiroshima University in Japan on a prestigious Jasso Scholarship. She is a member of the Lawyers Council of Thailand.
