Frederick Mpanga heads the firm’s Intellectual Property and Real Estate practices and is a leading authority in intellectual property law, real estate conveyancing, and international trade.

He advises clients across a broad spectrum of commercial matters, including securitisation, insurance, finance, and arbitration, and is widely recognised for his strength in high-value and precedent-setting disputes particularly in the trademark, banking recovery, and land sectors.

Frederick has played a direct role in shaping Uganda’s legislative framework, having advised Parliament during the reform of both copyright and trademark laws. He holds an LLB (Hons) from Makerere University and an LLM from the University of Cambridge, and is a lead lecturer in Intellectual Property and International Trade at Makerere University School of Law.
