Position

Legal Assistant - Child & Family Law

Career

Carmen joined Aristone Solicitors in December 2024 as a Legal Assistant in the family department, directly supporting Primrose Hudson (family solicitor).

In this role, Carmen assists with all aspects of family law case management, including drafting correspondence, preparing court bundles, liaising with clients and opposing solicitors, managing diaries and deadlines, and ensuring compliance with court rules and firm procedures.

Carmen regularly assists with children’s arrangements and divorce cases. She takes particular pride in helping ensure that clients can navigate their divorce with the minimum of fuss and supporting Primrose Hudson to deliver a smooth, efficient process for every client.

Prior to joining Aristone, Carmen gained broad experience across litigation, conveyancing, and deceased estates. She worked as a Legal Assistant at Francois Burger Attorneys (March 2024 – October 2024), a Litigation Assistant at Tour Attorneys (January 2020 – July 2023), and a Junior Conveyancing Secretary at George Whitehead Attorneys (August 2023 – February 2024). This varied background has given her a strong foundation in legal processes, document preparation, and client communication — all of which she now applies to support Primrose Hudson's family law practice.

Carmen is committed to ongoing professional development. Since joining Aristone, she has completed several CPD-accredited courses relevant to family law, including An Introduction to Family Law Practice & Procedure, Certificate in Children Law, AML & Client Due Diligence for Support Staff, Conduct in Financial Remedy Proceedings, and Combatting Contractual Disillusionment & Disputes.
