Career
Madiya Karassayeva is a Consultant Solicitor specialising in corporate and private immigration law. She began her career in immigration in 2014 as an intern while studying at university, and went on to train under Samar Shams. She qualified as a solicitor in 2024 via the SQE route, having previously practised as an IAA-regulated adviser. She joined Aristone Solicitors as a Consultant Solicitor in November 2025.
Madiya advises a wide range of clients, with a particular focus on large companies operating in sectors such as software engineering and AI, manufacturing and construction, and healthcare and pharmaceuticals. She also acts for private individuals across a variety of complex immigration matters.
Her practice centres on sponsor licence applications and compliance. She is particularly known for advising on corporate changes and their immigration impact, supporting businesses through mergers, acquisitions, and restructures while maintaining compliance and continuity of sponsored workers.
Madiya has advised an organisation within a wider group of healthcare companies on a merger resulting in the creation of a new legal entity, guiding the client through the process of securing a new sponsor licence and ensuring the compliant transfer of sponsored workers. In another matter, she assisted a business following an unreported change in ownership, working within tight timeframes to compile the required evidence, secure a new sponsor licence, and facilitate the transfer of workers in line with TUPE provisions. These matters required careful coordination, technical accuracy, and a pragmatic approach to minimise disruption to the clients’ operations.
Clients value Madiya’s clear, pragmatic advice and her ability to distil complex immigration rules into straightforward, workable solutions. She is known for her responsiveness, attention to detail, and commercially aware approach.
