Senior Legal Associate

Chermaine is a Senior Associate at Daniel & Wong, in the Corporate and Commercial practice group.

Her practice spans a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), banking and finance, real estate transactions and projects, regulatory compliance, corporate advisory, and commercial transactions. She has been actively involved in due diligence exercises for Malaysian companies and has advised clients on licensing processes and regulatory requirements.

Chermaine graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Cardiff University and was called to the Bar of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in 2018. She was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2019.

Her professional experience includes training in a capital markets and M&A team, practising in a boutique firm with a focus on entertainment law, and working in-house at a fund management company before returning to private practice.

Chermaine’s combined experience in private practice and an in-house role has equipped her with a practical understanding of the legal and commercial considerations that businesses face, allowing her to craft solutions that align with her clients’ operational and strategic goals.
