Career

Charlotte joined Edwards Family Law in November 2020 as an Associate Solicitor and was promoted to Senior Associate in October 2024.

Charlotte undertook her training contract at a leading City firm (under the supervision of Kelly Edwards) where she gained experience in all areas of family law as well as criminal litigation, civil litigation and conveyancing. Charlotte qualified in September 2019 and her practice has been solely focused on family law since.

Charlotte is committed to her clients and will always do all that she can to assist them to reach a resolution in the most amicable and cost-effective manner. Charlotte will always try to resolve matters out of the court arena where possible and is a huge advocate of private FDRs.

Charlotte has been praised by clients for her patience and understanding in difficult circumstances. Charlotte has represented a vast array of individuals and their spouses including professional sports people, business owners, senior medical professionals, property developers and bankers. Charlotte has also acted for third parties, such as the siblings and parents of parties to divorce where there are disputes about the ownership of assets amongst the wider family.

Charlotte has a vast array of experience in all of the issues that can arise from relationship breakdown and focuses largely on complex financial matters, with a particular interest in variation of maintenance cases. Charlotte has acted in a number of cases where undeveloped property is a significant asset or issue. Charlotte frequently drafts pre and post nuptial agreements for clients looking to protect their pre-acquired wealth or inheritance. Charlotte also undertakes complex children work, often involving allegations of sexual offences and domestic abuse.

Charlotte graduated from Pembroke College, Oxford with a 2.1 in Jurisprudence. Charlotte is a member of Resolution and Women in Family Law and is a frequent contributor to the case summaries section of the Financial Remedy Journal.

Charlotte was named an Associate to Watch by Chambers Children / Family in both their 2024 and 2025 guides and is recognised as a Key Lawyer by the Legal 500.
