Advised a natural gas energy company on its cross-border bidding-purchasing an asset of an American listed energy giant company. Advised a privately-owned energy giant (Zhongzhi Energy) on its investment in a Pb-Zn mine project. Advised a bank branch of ICBC on the compliance issue of a cross-border acquisition financing structure.

Commercial Litigation

Advised an energy construction company in a £ 20 million contract dispute with another construction company across proceedings at the Intermediate People’s Court, High People’s Court, and ultimately the Supreme People’s Court of China, securing a favourable judgment for the client. Advised a chemical group company in its guarantee contract dispute with a bank over £ 30 million in the Supreme People’s Court of China and obtained a favourable result for the client. Advised and represented a private client in an agency agreement dispute related to a mining purchase over £ 2 million, securing a favourable judgment for the client.
