Founding Partner

Luiz Claudio Garé is the founding partner and administrator of GARÉ IP. He holds a Law degree from the Faculdade de Direito de São Bernardo do Campo in 1989, with extensive experience in criminal actions and civil litigation in the defense of trademarks, patents and the fight against unfair competition.

Since 2002, Garé is the legal and institutional relations consultant for the Brand Protection Group - BPG, a non-profit association created by a group of well-known companies to combat the illegal market in Brazil. During these more than 20 years as a consultant of BPG, he has organized seminars and practical trainings for a great number of public authorities directly connected to the fight against the illegal market.

In response to his clients' needs, he also developed the environmental and commercial law areas, participating on cases related to the final disposal of waste and anti-dumping measures.

Garé was President of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Brazilian Bar Association of São Paulo (OAB/SP) for the bienium 2022/2024 and is a regular speaker at IP seminars and events worldwide. As parto f his duties as a BPG consultant, he also contributes as a member of the National Council on Combating Piracy (CNCP) and is actively involved in several committees and associations that fight the illegal Market.
