Director of Tax Advisory and Tax Controversy

Andrés Ordóñez Córdova has over 16 years of experience with the Ecuadorian Internal Revenue Service (Servicio de Rentas Internas – SRI), where he held several senior positions, including Tax Auditor, Tax Management Analyst, Tax Collection Specialist, SRI Attorney, National Tax Collection Expert, National Head of Collections, National Director of Revenue Collection and Taxpayer Assistance, Regional Director (Zone 9), Deputy General Director of Tax Compliance, and Advisor to the Director General.

He also has more than four years of experience in private tax practice, providing strategic tax advice to some of Ecuador’s leading companies across a wide range of industries. His practice focuses on tax compliance, the interpretation and application of tax legislation, and the representation of taxpayers in tax controversies before the Ecuadorian Internal Revenue Service, including mediation, tax audits and assessments, tax refund claims, and tax enforcement proceedings. Throughout his career, he has successfully achieved significant results for clients in complex tax disputes.
