Career

Mary has been practising as a lawyer since 2018 and advises and represents clients in matters relating to insolvency and restructuring. She is regularly appointed by the court as a trustee in bankruptcy and supports colleagues in insolvency proceedings, including bankruptcies and suspensions of payments. She currently serves as Vice-President of the Insolvency Commission of AIJA.

Mary served as Chair of the Vereniging Jonge Insolventierecht Advocaten (Dutch Association of Young Insolvency Lawyers)

Education

Mary obtained a Master’s degree in Corporate Law from Universiteit Leiden (2018) and completed the Master’s programme Corporate Law: Law, Markets and Behaviour at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (2016).

In 2021, Mary successfully completed the CPO postgraduate specialisation programme in Insolvency Law for Court-Appointed Trustees.

At the end of 2025, she successfully completed the INSOLAD/Grotius specialist programme in Insolvency Law.
