Partner

Laurie is a partner at Davids Advocaten and has been working as a lawyer since 2015. As a specialist in our insolvency practice, she assists companies with restructurings, restarts and in (the preliminary phase of) suspensions of payment and bankruptcy. Laurie loves to tackle complex issues, combining sharp analytical skills with a pragmatic approach. She specialises in procedures in the field of directors’ liability and, amongst other things, assists directors and supervisors held liable by a company creditor or trustee. Laurie also acts for shareholders, financiers, suppliers and customers of companies in financial difficulties, where her extensive experience as a trustee in bankruptcies is invaluable.

Laurie is a member of the Association of Insolvency Lawyers (INSOLAD), INSOL Europe (the international specialist association for insolvency law) and the Dutch Association for Restructuring.

Laurie studied Law (Private Law) at the University of Amsterdam. In the period 2020–2021, she completed the post-academic specialisation programme INSOLAD Insolvency Law, graduating cum laude. In 2022, she successfully completed the specialisation programme Financial Economics for Insolvency Lawyers. In 2025, Laurie completed the Grotius Specialisation Programme in Corporate and Commercial Law, graduating cum laude.
