Joris is a partner at Davids Advocaten and has been practising as a lawyer since 2008. He specialises in complex litigation and restructurings (WHOA). His focus is on our dynamic international practice, where he regularly supports foreign clients in protecting their rights in the Netherlands and representing their business interests. His passion for and thorough knowledge of procedural law ensure his clients can always rely on his expert support. From board room advice in financial turmoil, to navigating complex legal battles. Prior to joining Davids Advocaten in 2014, Joris worked at Clifford Chance and Spigt Litigators.

Joris is a member of the Association of Insolvency Lawyers (INSOLAD), the Corporate Litigation Association and the Dutch Restructuring Association. In addition to his work as a lawyer, Joris is an unpaid director of an investment fund.

Joris studied Corporate Law at Leiden University (2007) and has successfully completed the Grotius/INSOLAD Insolvency Law programme.
