With extensive cross-sector experience at top tier and international firms across London, EMEIA and Australia, Kelly brings a breadth of knowledge to her practice to ensure transaction models and risk allocation drive the best outcomes for clients.

Kelly’s practice focuses on energy transition transactions for a wide range of sector stakeholders. Her transaction focus spans the sector ranging from the development, acquisition and financing of energy projects to energy procurement and execution of sustainability strategies for large businesses.

Kelly’s recent experience includes advising:

Marubeni on its investment into a NSW standalone BESS (including potential financing structures) and, separately, its investment into a portfolio of small scale solar + BESS projects in NSW and VIC including a potential offtake and tolling arrangement for this asset portfolio; Venn Energy on the divestment of its portfolio of renewables assets in Australia, sale readiness and commercial contracts, including an early works agreements, for progressing a solar + BESS project in its portfolio; Boundary Bend Olives on its options, related land arrangements and commercial participation arrangements in the potential development of wind, solar and BESS by a leading renewables developer and portfolio manager; FFI on a collaboration agreement including a renewable energy developer and indigenous people community in Northern Queensland for project development and on its renewable power purchase tender process and PPA agreements with various renewables projects to support FFI’s renewable fuels strategy; Port Authority of New South Wales on the structuring, authorisation and licensing requirements for a new potential embedded network and options and structuring for decarbonisation of embedded network power supply; Enerparc on its divestment(s) of a portfolio of small-scale solar + BESS assets in NSW; LaTrobe University PPA on its procurement and execution of a retail renewable PPA with global energy leader Iberdrola; Nike PPA on its Australian corporate renewable PPA; Lion PPA on its Australian corporate renewable PPA with BP in relation to a Lightsource bp solar farm in Queensland; 3Degrees on the green certificates market in Australia, trading requirements and market entry options; and KEPCO on the ACCU regime, trading opportunities in Australia, carbon contract structuring and agreement terms.
