Nick is an experienced corporate lawyer who has been advising on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising and corporate transactions for over 24 years in key financial markets including Melbourne, Sydney, and London.

Nick has substantial experience in working with domestic and foreign, listed, and unlisted companies on complex corporate transactions, corporate advisory and structuring matters. He is passionate about taking a holistic view of transactional and structuring processes and working alongside all disciplines within his client’s businesses to solve problems and meet business objectives.

Nick also regularly advises on Australian securities laws and the ASX listing rule requirements in relation to the grant and administration of equity incentives for listed and unlisted companies.

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc (a Blackstone investee company) on its acquisition of JBS&G Australia; Nash Capital on its acquisition of Blue Hippo Laundry group; founder of Excelplas on his sale to the Halliwell Group, a division of McLarens; Banner Asset Management on its joint venture arrangements with Resimax Group in relation to the development of 2 masterplanned communities in Beveridge, Victoria; founders of Ecology & Heritage Partners on their sale to Fyfe Group (a Mercury Capital investee company); founders of Abril Building Solutions and Abril Restorations on their sale to Ambrose Construct Group (a CPE Capital investee company); First Pick Marketing on the sale of its Western Australia agricultural interests to Macquarie Asset Management and Fresh Produce Group; shareholders of Opteon Group on the partial sell down to, and investment by, Anacacia Capital; Waterco Limited on its acquisition of Davey Water Pumps from Amotiv Limited; shareholders of Diamond Energy on their sale to Energy Bay; ZPG Plc on the sale of Hometrack Australia to REA Group; founders on the sale of Osmoflo to Marubeni; founders of RxMx on partial sell-down to Pemba Capital; Aeroklas Australia on its acquisition of the TJM chain of 4WD stores and the Tough Dog suspension products business; founders of Brown & Watson International on their sale to Amotiv Limited; founder of Aluminium Profiles Australia and Extrusion Profiles Australia on its sale to Bradnams Windows & Doors; Uniform Group on several transaction processes in the school uniform industry; a major participant in the Starflight Victoria consortium that won 10-year contract to supply aircraft and support to the Victoria Police rotary wing; Taverners Group on its anchor investment in Tellus Holdings; ZircoDATA consortium (led by Housatonic Partners) on its acquisition of Iron Mountain Australia; and founder of Scooter Hut on sale to BBRC Private Equity.

In 2010, Nick was one of the five deal professionals nominated for ‘Most Promising Rising Star’ in Private Equity Advisory (Europe) by Private Equity News, the leading PE trade publication in the UK.
