A distinguished lawyer and academic, Professor Ersin Erdoğan is a founding partner of Günay & Erdoğan. He is among Türkiye’s most highly regarded jurists, with a wealth of experience in civil procedure, dispute resolution and arbitration, as well as in insolvency, composition and restructuring law, acquired in his capacities as counsel, arbitrator, mediator, composition commissioner and trustee.

Professor Erdoğan’s academic achievements are equally impressive. He is a professor of law at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and also teaches at Bilkent University and at universities abroad, including Justus Liebig University Giessen (Germany), eCampus University (Italy), Károli Gáspár University (Hungary), Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (Indonesia) and Tashkent State University of Law (Uzbekistan). The author of more than fifty scholarly articles and over ten books, he has directly influenced Turkish civil procedure and arbitration practice, and his work has been cited in judicial decisions. His book Hakem Kararlarının Kesin Hüküm Etkisi (The Res Judicata Effect of Arbitral Awards) was awarded the “Best Original Scientific Book” prize by the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) in 2020, a year after he was named a TÜBA “Outstanding Young Scientist” in 2019.

Drawing on his academic expertise, Professor Erdoğan advises both domestic and international clients and acts actively as counsel, arbitrator and adviser in high-value disputes across multiple sectors. He represents clients in multi-million-dollar construction, energy and trade disputes conducted under the ICC, ISTAC and ad hoc rules; in large-scale banking and finance litigation arising from loan agreements, security arrangements and restructurings; in composition and insolvency proceedings; and in cross-border litigation involving multinational companies.
