A renowned lawyer and academic, Prof. Dr Ersin Erdoğan is one of the founding partners of Günay & Erdoğan Attorneys-at-Law. With extensive experience in civil procedure law, dispute resolution and arbitration, as well as bankruptcy, concordat and restructuring law, acquired in his capacities as counsel, arbitrator, mediator, concordat commissioner and trustee, Prof. Dr Erdoğan is regarded as one of Türkiye’s distinguished legal practitioners.

Prof. Dr Erdoğan’s academic achievements are equally impressive. He serves as a professor of law at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and also teaches at Bilkent University, as well as at universities abroad, including Justus Liebig University Giessen in Germany, eCampus University in Italy, Károli Gáspár University in Hungary, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta in Indonesia and Tashkent State University of Law in Uzbekistan. The author of more than fifty academic articles and over ten books, Prof. Dr Erdoğan has directly influenced Turkish civil procedure and arbitration practice, and his works have been cited in judicial decisions. His book entitled The Res Judicata Effect of Arbitral Awards was awarded the “Best Scientific Monograph” prize by the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) in 2020; one year earlier, in 2019, he was selected by TÜBA as an “Outstanding Young Scientist”.

Drawing on his academic expertise, Prof. Dr Erdoğan provides legal advice to both domestic and international clients and actively serves as counsel, arbitrator and adviser in high-value, multi-sector disputes. He represents clients in multi-million-dollar construction, energy and commercial disputes conducted under the ICC, ISTAC and ad hoc arbitration rules; in major banking and finance litigation arising from loan agreements, security arrangements and restructurings; in concordat and bankruptcy proceedings; and in litigation arising from cross-border disputes involving multinational companies.
