Emre Subaşı is a partner at Günay & Erdoğan Attorneys-at-Law and specialises in capital markets, public offerings, financial law and venture capital. Following five years at the Capital Markets Board of Türkiye, where he gained experience in the Legal Affairs and Corporate Finance Departments, he joined the founding team of the Turkish Mercantile Exchange (“TÜRİB”), Türkiye’s first and only national electronic commodity exchange, and served as its chief legal counsel for approximately three years.

Subaşı subsequently headed the Venture Capital (VC) Department at one of Istanbul’s leading law firms. Today, at Günay & Erdoğan, he primarily advises clients on the structuring of start-ups and management of investment processes, regulatory compliance of crypto-asset platforms, acquisitions, corporate law and capital markets law.

Subaşı also serves as European Regional Director of a company operating in the biotechnology/information technology sector and has extensive experience in the legal structuring of and advisory services for both domestic and international investment processes, working with a broad range of stakeholders from institutional investors to angel investors.
