Abhay leads the tax practice at Bombay Law Chambers, with over two decades of experience advising on complex domestic and cross-border tax issues. His practice focuses on direct taxation and private client matters.

Abhay has advised a clientele that has included some of the world's largest global private equity funds, sovereign wealth funds, and multinational corporations. He is frequently sought after to establish Indian investment platforms for pension boards and private equity funds, alternate investment funds and guides clients through high-value investments and exits. His industry experience spans insurance, IT, edutech, fintech, real estate, banking, infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, media, online gaming, and logistics.

A key area of Abhay's practice is tax insurance. He collaborates with numerous underwriters in the Indian market, advising on transactional risk. His work in this area covers both bespoke tax liability insurance and Warranty & Indemnity (W&I) insurance, helping clients mitigate financial risks in M&A and investment deals.

In addition to his transactional and advisory work, Abhay maintains a practice in tax litigation. He is active in the tax community, conducting training sessions for fellow professionals and the Income Tax department. Abhay has served as the country tax reporter for the International Bar Association (IBA) for multiple years and been recognized by legal directories such as Legal500.
