Senior Lawyer

Maria Petrosyan acts for clients across a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters, with particular strength in commercial litigation, corporate law, legal risk assessment, and legislative drafting. Over seven years in practice, she has built a reputation for strategic thinking and the ability to navigate complex disputes, drawing on deep knowledge of Armenian procedural law and the country's evolving judicial system.

Her credentials in dispute resolution extend beyond litigation: Maria is a licensed mediator and has been closely involved in the development of Armenia's arbitration and mediation infrastructure through her role as a Senior Legal Expert at the Legislation Development Center Foundation, where she contributes to judicial and legal reform processes. She has also served as Armenia's National Correspondent at the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ), giving her unique insight into comparative judicial standards and reform benchmarks that inform her advisory work.

Maria is a member of the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia, serving as both a licensed advocate and mediator. She graduated with honours from Yerevan State University (Bachelor's and Master's in Law) and pursued further studies in the United States as a winner of a U.S. Department of State scholarship. She is also Executive Director of an educational and cultural foundation, and participates in international moot court competitions as coach and arbitrator.
