Career

Natalie is the Co-Founder of Ooi & Ooi and heads the Corporate, Real Estate and Private Client Practice.

A multi-award-winning lawyer, Natalie was named Women Lawyer of the Year at the Asian Legal Business Malaysia Law Awards 2025.

Natalie is widely recognised for her expertise in commercial and land matters, with a proven track record advising on transactions valued at over RM1 billion in Malaysia.  Her practice covers a broad range of areas, including property acquisitions and disposals, cross-border investments, and high-value asset deals.

She has particular experience in town planning matters, often leading high stakes public interest litigation against land authorities and developers.

With a strong background in public law, Natalie has been involved in high-profile election petitions following Malaysia’s 2013 General Election.  She was also part of the Bar Council’s observer team during the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia’s (SUHAKAM) Public Inquiry on allegations of human rights violations during the Bersih 2.0 rally.

She also represents the Central Bank of Malaysia, advising on anti-money laundering enforcement matters.
