Murat Erbilen is a senior partner and focuses on arbitration, banking & finance, capital markets, corporate/M&A, and project finance.

Murat’s practice is sector-based, with strengths in TMT, real estate, infrastructure, transportation & logistics, and energy. He advises on high profile M&As, projects and financings requiring his finely tuned regulatory experience and expert-level understanding of new and developing regulations.

Murat has a niche in representing private equity and sovereign wealth funds in innovative projects, particularly in the technology, real estate and consumer products & retail space. Such clients appreciate his disputes background and highly strategic approach in protecting their future commercial plans. Murat also advises his clients on arbitration in addition to his corporate and banking practice, representing them before arbitral institutions such as ICSID, ICC, ISTAC, LCIA, and ITOTAM.

Murat is known for his pragmatic approach and business-savvy legal solutions, gained from years of experience both in-house and in private practice. Prior to joining Lexist, Murat, like his fellow partners, spent time in-house as general counsel at a Turkish holding company active in the TMT sector. Murat brings a deep understanding of the client’s prespective to his extensive practical experience.
