Valentina Gómez built her career across both the public and private sectors before joining Gallego Lawyers. She worked as a lawyer at the Fourth Section of the Council of State, Colombia's highest court for tax and administrative disputes, served as legal rapporteur in the insolvency division of the Superintendency of Companies, and advised on tax matters at one of the Big Four professional services firms. As Senior Lawyer in Tax Law, she now advises Colombian and international clients on tax planning and regulatory compliance, from structuring the tax treatment of specific contracts and projects to meeting ongoing reporting obligations, bringing a litigation perspective to how she structures and defends their tax positions. She is currently pursuing a specialization in corporate law at the Universidad de los Andes, alongside her existing postgraduate degree in tax law from the Universidad Externado de Colombia.
