Selwyn Vong has extensive experience in complex commercial dispute, securities fraud, irregular transaction and other major civil and criminal cases.

Selwyn specializes in representing senior executives of public companies in matters involving breach of trust, fraud, financial statement fraud, and irregular transaction. He successfully defended the top financial officer in a nationally prominent securities and financial statement fraud case with more than NT$4 billion claim at stake. He  frequently represents multinational corporations in investigating high-level management fraud cases.

With considerable experience in construction and trade secret disputes, Selwyn has assisted a multinational group in resolving large-scale construction disputes in Taiwan, including issues such as extension of construction schedule and price adjustments. Additionally, he has represented local enterprises in trade secret misappropriation disputes litigated in both Taiwan and the United States.

Selwyn is well-versed in domestic energy industry regulations. He regularly assists clients with legal disputes and provides legal advice regarding bidding process and permit applications for offshore wind farms and solar power plants. Due to his extensive achievements in litigation and dispute resolution, Selwyn was recognized as a Recommended Lawyer in the “Dispute Resolution” category by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific in 2023.

Selwyn is a member of the Taipei Bar Association. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English.
