Consultant for PNUD (ONU) and GIZ (Germany) on issues related to the reform of the criminal process.With about 16 years of experience in Criminal and Business Law– White Collar Crime, Criminal Defense, Criminal Procedural Law and Litigation, he has developed his career in the financial and litigation fields.He has also been a Criminal Law lecturer at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, Universidad de Piura and Academia de la Magistratura, the national Formation School for the judiciary (judges and prosecutors).He is a speaker in criminal procedural matters, both for the Poder Judicial; Escuela del Ministerio Público Ministerio de Justicia Escuela de Auxiliares Jurisdiccionales del Poder Judicial and CEDPE, INVIPP, INPECC institutes.

He has been certified by IRIS Center Peru / USAID Peru, as a trainer in the New Criminal Procedure Code. He has several publications on Criminal Law and Procedural Law.

In the last year, Luis Fernando Iberico Castañeda has been in charge of the defense of corporate clients and mainly of mining companies. He has obtained important results, among which we can mention the case of Río Ragre of the company Volcan Compañía Minera, where it was established that the general manager and senior officials of a mining company could only be held criminally liable for acts that they are under their functional scope. With this decision, the process concluded in favor of the general manager and the operations manager of the company in question. Luis Fernando Iberico Castañeda was in charge of preparing the cassation appeal and performing the oral arguments at the Supreme Court.
