Mahmoud El Araby is a Partner at Alieldean Weshahi & Partners, with over two decades of experience in corporate and financial law.  Mahmoud has developed deep expertise in securitization, capital markets, banking and finance, corporate restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions. He has advised on a wide range of complex transactions across these sectors, consistently delivering practical and innovative legal solutions.

Since 2005, Mahmoud has served as legal counsel on over 60 securitization bond issuances, including several high-profile, award-winning deals that have helped shape the Egyptian debt capital market. His notable work includes:

The Securitization Deal of the Year – Africa (2020) by The Banker, advising on the EGP 4 billion issuance for the Egyptian New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA). The Best Bond Issue in the MENA Region (2021) by MEA Finance, where AT Lease acted as the originator in a deal valued at EGP 1.08 billion.
