Edward Whittington
Edward Whittington is the firm's managing partner and has overall executive responsibility for Moore Blatch’s business and strategic direction. As a practising lawyer he specialises in rural property; typically acting for property owning families, businesses, trusts and individuals. He has extensive experience in development land, commercial property, farms, landed estates and country homes.
Edward is also a member of the firm’s rural services team which specialises in all aspects of legal advice relating to this sector, including wills and trusts, tax and succession planning, business and partnership arrangements as well as land, property and development transactions.
Charlotte Brackley
Charlotte buys and sells high value rural property: large country houses with land, farms and landed estates.
She has worked in rural property for almost 20 years, having begun her career in the City at leading firms Withers LLP and then Forsters LLP.
She acts for high net worth individuals and families, private companies and trusts in connection with their rural property transactions.
She provides a bespoke service with a strong emphasis on client care: her clients are supported and guided throughout each transaction to help ensure that we reach a timely and successful outcome.
She takes the time to get to know her clients and the property, which often includes walking the boundary with them and their agent to get a proper sense of what will be the key elements of the transaction – both from a client and a property law perspective.
When she's not at my desk, climbing over boundary fences, or acting as taxi service to my two school age children, she enjoys walking, watching films and baking.
Julian Parkes
Julian is a partner specialising in purchasing and managing commercial investment property portfolios and leisure properties. He also has experience in the sale and purchase of large agricultural estates and development of land including overage arrangements and options. He works with a wide range of commercial property clients across a range of sectors.
His clients look to him to provide them with straight-talking advice that helps them make the best commercial decisions. Julian does this by first ensuring that he understands exactly what his clients want to achieve, and then working with them to create the right legal strategy for their business.
Sarah Jordan
Sarah is a trusted legal adviser to the rural sector, my client base is focused on acting for families of landed estates, farms, landowners, equestrian businesses and lifestyle clients looking to set up home and connections in the country from a city base.
She head up the Rural Services team at Moore Barlow and we are able to provide a full legal service to the rural sector, often by me helping project manage the legal needs of a client and bringing in our wider rural sector team members where appropriate. This includes working very closely with other rural professional advisers for our clients including their accountant, agent and banker.
She is also a rural property lawyer by background and run the Rural Property team. We specialise in land, farm and country transactions, as well as rural asset management for Landed Estates and secured agricultural lending work. We cover landlord and tenant matters, business leases and are experienced at advising on agricultural tenancies: AHA and FBT.
