Career
Lawyer and MBA with over 30 years of experience in the Mining, Energy, and Natural Resources sectors, both in top-tier law firms and in executive positions at multinational mining companies such as Kinross, Teck Resources, Aur Resources, and ENAMI. He has led legal teams and complex, high-investment projects in Chile and South America, covering all stages of the mining cycle: exploration, permitting, construction, operation, financing, contracts, M&A, and closure.
Specialist in Mining, Environmental, Water, Energy, Infrastructure, and Compliance Law, he has played an active role in landmark projects such as Cerro Casale, Quebrada Blanca, and Carmen de Andacollo, and in companies including Codelco, Sierra Gorda SCM, Teck, Osisko Gold Royalties, and Elemental Altus Royalties, among many others.
Recognized by international publications such as Chambers Global, The Legal 500, Who’s Who Legal, and Latin Lawyer 250, he has served on boards of directors, advised on restructuring processes, mergers, and asset acquisitions, and represented both private companies and the State in strategic negotiations.
