Managing Partner

Dian Ivanov established Ivanov & Partners in 2004. He represents local and international clients including, corporates, private investors, financial institutions, government agencies, and start-ups. He advises on issues relating to real estate, construction, insurance, litigation, administrative law, and corporate law.

Dian represents clients in a variety of real estate contractual matters including transactions. An expert in land use and spatial planning law, he ensures clients comply with land governance regulations and assists in obtaining administrative permissions relating to urban planning, the construction process, and real estate developments across the country. Advising on issues related to the protection of property, rights of way, building rights, ownership, extensions, and superstructures, Dian is regularly engaged in a variety of high value real estate disputes, in which he employs his longstanding litigation and courtroom expertise before courts in Bulgaria and the European Court of Human Rights.

Dian represents leading insurance companies, individuals, and insurance brokers in litigation proceedings for the defence of insurance claims and in claims and actions against insurers. He also advises on risk management, compliance, and contracts, helping clients to avoid administrative penalties and reputational harm.

Dian guides clients from a variety of industries in the management of relationships with government agencies, compliance with local laws and regulations and in gaining various administrative permissions required to further their business activities in Bulgaria. He also oversees appeals, advising on individual and general administrative acts, including penal decisions (of RDCCS) representing clients in administrative courts across Bulgaria.
