Practice: Luiz is the Head of the Projects team and is a partner at Giamundo Neto Advogados. He has over 20 years of experience in infrastructure projects advising both local and international clients primarily from the sanitation, waste, and water management sectors.  

Luiz is also remarkably active in projects relating to motorways, airports, and social infrastructure. He supports clients through every stage of a project—from initial structuring to divestment—including handling disputes and bidding processes. 

Career: Luiz served as the legal director of the sanitation and waste management department at the giant infrastructure company OAS Soluções Ambientais, where he worked for over 15 years. He also held the role of legal coordinator at the Brazilian Sanitation and Waste Management Association (ABCON), all before joining Giamundo Neto Advogados. Currently, Luiz has been contributing his expertise as Vice-President of the Basic Sanitation Coordination at the Federal Council of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) and as a member of the Sanitation and Waste Management Commission of the São Paulo Lawyers Institute (IASP). 

Education: Luiz holds an LLB (2003) from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and an LLM (2022) in Public Law from the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV). 

Academic credentials, speaking engagements, etc: Luiz is a published author with several articles on infrastructure law and books on sanitation and waste management projects.
