Career

Laurence has been a lawyer at the Paris Bar for nearly 30 years. She was elected Secretary of the Paris Bar’s for the Class of 2004.

Since then, she has developed recognized expertise in criminal procedure, handling cases from the investigation stage through to trial and judgment.

She regularly appears before criminal courts, representing both defendants (notably in the Antonio Ferrara escape trial, the Jean-Claude Bonnal trial, the Harry Winston heist, and the Arnaud Mimran cases) and civil parties (including in the Merah, Charlie Hebdo/Hypercacher, Bataclan, and Rue des Rosiers trials).

Laurence Cechman also defends legal entities (listed companies, banks, public institutions) and their executives in economic and financial cases before both criminal courts and regulatory authorities.

She has also developed significant expertise in complex commercial and financial litigation before civil and commercial courts.

Educated at the University of Paris I Sorbonne, the École du Louvre, and the National Institute of Gemology, Laurence Cechman speaks English and Hebrew.
