Senior Associate

Vishal Singh is an Senior Associate with the Lending team at Spice Route Legal, where his practice focuses on the evolving legal and regulatory landscape governing lending, blockchain, and financial crime compliance.

Vishal works with some of India’s largest financial institutions on matters relating to product structuring, digital identity management, and compliance with KYC and anti-money laundering (AML) obligations. His deep understanding of RBI’s KYC Master Directions and associated sectoral guidelines enables him to help clients develop compliant, scalable frameworks that balance regulatory expectations with commercial imperatives.

Vishal also has a keen interest and growing expertise in blockchain and cryptocurrency. He spends a sizeable portion of his time on understanding the legal, regulatory, and business challenges associated with distributed ledger technology, initial coin offerings (ICOs), security tokens, decentralised finance (DeFi), smart contracts, and other emerging blockchain applications.

Outside of his specialised role in the financial services space, he is passionate about sports and gaming and works closely with some of our largest gaming clients to help implement their vision for their platforms.
