Career

Hélène Bourgine is Managing Partner and co-founder of Aliénor Avocats (2010), following a 12 year experience as in-house counsel at Vinci Construction Grands Projets where she was directly involved in several international dispute boards and arbitrations and in the negotiation of major infrastructure projects.

Hélène advises French and foreign clients at each stage of their construction and infrastructure projects, whether in France (in both private and public contracts) or abroad (FIDIC, NEC contracts), in close cooperation with their legal and operational departments.

She has developed a recognised expertise in contract management and in dispute resolution, through amicable means (conciliation, mediation) but also through litigation before civil and administrative courts, dispute boards and arbitration.

Throughout her professional career started in 1998, Hélène has been involved in several dispute boards and more than twenty international and domestic arbitrations in the construction field (including ICC, UNCITRAL and CMAP).

Given her civil law background and her technical skills acquired from her practice of construction and major projects both as in-house legal advisor and as counsel, Hélène now also sits as an arbitrator in construction arbitrations.
